VOFAN, real name Dai Yuenhon (戴 源亨, Dài Yuánhóng), is a Taiwanese illustrator and photographer. He is the illustrator of the Monogatari Series and the Boukyaku Tantei Series.
Biography[]
VOFAN started drawing when he was around 5 years old. At first, he wanted to be a mangaka, but then realized that he couldn't handle a long serialized work, and so decided to become an illustrator. He studied architecture in college and then, upon graduating, began working full time as an illustrator.
Style[]
Including his knowledge of architecture and photography into his illustrations, VOFAN is known for his ability to portray smooth lighting and detailed characters and backgrounds. His illustrations lack lineart. He cites Makoto Shinkai as one of his early inspirations.
