Uchitori is known for his preference for braids, making him an initial suspect for the braid killer case. He is prone to going on rants about the greatness of braids, creeping Sham Negoro out and making his claims of not really being the hairstyle easily disprovable. Upon being confessed to by Ami Tsuchiura, claims that he wouldn't go out with a girl just because she had braids, but only if she could 'make his world sparkle'.[1]

Uchitori is a 3rd year student of class 9 and the president of the baseball club. One day, while passing through the hallway, he thanked Ami Tsuchiura for always keeping the school clean. Being the one person to appreciate her efforts, Ami fell in love with him. After the conclusion of the braid killer case, Ami confesses her love to him, and he accepts.[1]
