Personality[]
To outsiders, U appears to be a normal, quiet, introverted and polite child. Her true nature, however, is that of an abnormal individual with a very apparent lack of understanding of social norms. She was raised by extremely negligent parents who never made an effort to help her understand the world, instead only giving her a number of written rules that, due to her mingled sense of priority, made her into a very unstable person by the time she encounters the narrator. In spite of this, she shows self-awareness when she kidnaps him in order to hide her true nature from being leaked out, proving that she, at least, understands that her behavior and way of life is abnormal.
As a result of her twisted upbringing, U has developed a strange fixation on social norms and rules of etiquette, always following them to the best of her abilities (and her always literal interpretations of these rules lead her to some very strange acts), and lashing out violently at the narrator whenever he appeared to not be "polite". In the epilogue, U seemed to have gotten over most of her childhood trauma, and be living a normal life.
Appearance[]
U is a young girl with long black hair and purple eyes. She is seen mostly in her elementary school uniform.
Background[]
U was raised in a very strained family environment, with her parents constantly fighting and neglecting the young girl. The poor parenting skills of her mother and father led to U's strange personality and way of life. At some point in time, U's parents killed each other, leaving the girl to live by herself. As she was never taught to do so, she never reported the deaths, so the two adults' corpses remained in their bedroom. Not long afterwards, the traffic accident that killed a classmate of hers occurred, prompting the kidnapping of the narrator.
