Rouya Gakemura (崖村(がけむら) 牢弥(ろうや), Gakemura Rōya), also known as the One Man Student Council (一人生徒会(ひとりせいとかい), Hitori Seitokai), is a character from the Sekai Series. He is a third year student at Kazusaen Private Academy, a member of the Ufology Club and the childhood friend of Kurori Douno.

Personality

Rouya is an abrasive and blunt individual, never holding back from saying his own thoughts, regardless of what others may feel. He is confident and cocky, speaking in a rough and impolite manner. He is an intense individual, having witnesses many unusual situations during his time studying abroad, considering himself "the real deal" and often mocking Choushi Kushinaka for being an "impostor". He is childhood friends with Kurori Douno, the two being quite close, and he also has a friendship with Kogushi Kushinaka, the president of his club.

Rouya is quite the capable individual, able to operate the entire student council by himself, earning him his nickname and reputation alongside many connections with students, particularly unruly ones like Meiro Byouinzaka, though he is largely shunned by others for his eccentric personality. He is the subject of many overblown rumors such as him dating eight women simultaneously, including a housewife, a tale which he denies. His only connection with Choushi is through his sister, Kogushi, so once she passes away, he bluntly shuns the boy, banishing him from the Ufology clubroom. He finds the club a place of respite and comfort, and is intensely angered when Kogushi's life is taken. When he finds out that Fuyako Togishima was the one to take her life, he brutally and remorselessly kills her before turning himself in

Appearance

Rouya is a young man with long, spikey blonde hair and sharp, thin black eyes. He is shown wearing a battered and ripped version of the male uniform of Kazusaen Academy, wearing the brown blazer over a purple shirt and the brown pants. He also wears a silver chain around his neck.

Background

Rouya is the son of a very rich family. He is childhood friends with Kurori Douno, the two having known each other for many years. He used to study abroad when he was in elementary school, and during that time, he met many people whom he considers "the real deal", including one who stated that he was seeking thrills right before causing an incomprehensible incident and going missing, landing on the most wanted list. Upon returning to Japan and enrolling in Kazusaen Academy, he took up the position of student council president, operating the entire student council by himself, earning him his moniker. This unique position gave him a reputation among the student body, and he has had dealings with the troublemaker Meiro Byouinzaka thanks to it. After his retirement, he joined the Ufology Club, although there are rumors of him still meddling with the current council.
