Rouka Hanadori (花鳥(はなどり) 楼花(ろうか), Hanadori Rōka) is a minor character from the Monogatari Series. She is a young girl possessed by the Rainy Devil's leg whose demonic part ends up being taken by Rouka Numachi.

Personality

Not much is known about Hanadori's personality.

Appearance

In the anime, Rouka only appears in a stylized flashback, where she is a shown as a girl with shoulder-length hair.

Background

Hanadori managed to come across the leg of the Rainy Devil in an unknown fashion. She was in a relationship with a university student as a high schooler, and ended up getting pregnant with his child, after which her mother asked her to abort it. In a desperate state, she wished on the leg of the demon to help her, but similarly to Suruga Kanbaru's case, the leg responded to her true desire, which was to get rid of her mother, and attacked the woman in her sleep, though it failed to kill her. After that, Hanadori met the ghost of Rouka Numachi, who listened to her worry and comforted her, saying that she would take care of the situation and that the girl needn't worry. Following that, the demon's leg transferred over to Numachi, which started her quest to collect all of the demon's body parts.

Abilities and Equipment

• Rainy Devil (レイニーデビル, Reinī Debiru): Similarly to Suruga, once she made her wish, Hanadori's leg was replaced with that of the devil, and remained as such due to her mother surviving the attack. Like all of the devil's body parts, the leg has superhuman strength and resilience.

Trivia

• Hanadori's last name literally means "flower bird".
• Hanadori's first name, Rouka, is written with the characters for "tower" and "flower". It is phonetically identical to Rouka Numachi's first name, though the spelling is different.
