Summary


Our Broken World (きみとぼくの壊(こわ)れた世界(せかい), Kimi to Boku no Kowareta Sekai) is the first novel of the Sekai Series, written by Nisio Isin and illustrated by TAGRO. It was first released on November 8, 2003[1], with a reprint edition released on October 11, 2007[2].

Synopsis[]

Restoration, in full swing! This is all about our honkaku mystery! The telephone game of mystery continues!



A brother and sister stepping over a forbidden line, Samatoki Hitsuuchi and Yorutsuki Hitsuuchi. A pair of childhood friends, Hakohiko Mukaezuki and Ririsu Kotohara. Their world is broken by a murder in a locked room at the school...... Samatoki sets out to solve the case with the recluse from the infirmary, Kuroneko Byouinzaka, but—?[1]

Why do the characters in mystery novels kill people so easily? As if adding or subtracting, as if all they need to think is "This person is in the way, I hate this person" to go through with murder. Rather, they play around with all sorts of schemes and tricks, as if they enjoy killing. What do they think they are, revolutionaries?[2]
