Summary[]
Shigusa states that he's figured out Medaka's secret, though Medaka doesn't appear concerned. Zenkichi thinks about what they should do against Shigusa's auto-pilot, and having come up with something, yells at Medaka to use her multiplication technique. Shigusa is incredulous, asking if she's a ninja or something, but Medaka says she'll give it a try, and much to his opponent's surprise, he suddenly sees countless copies of Medaka flying towards him at the same time. As Medaka reaches out her hand, Zenkichi thinks that Shigusa can't possibly react to the clones until they're up close to him, but then the man suddenly grabs Medaka's arm, and explains that, with him, his reaction doesn't matter, as his reflexes will go for the true one among the copies even if his mind is tricked. He then breaks Medaka's right arm, which he'd caught, shocking everyone. Zenkichi starts rushing up to her, but Medaka stops him, saying that it's a one-on-one fight and that he shouldn't interfere. Shigusa says that he could take a three-on-one too, but then notices that Medaka has taken the data USB from his neck again while he broke her arm. Saying that exchanging her arm for destroying the Flask Plan is fine with her, she stuffs the drive in her cleavage, such that Shigusa can't get it back, but then says that she can't claim victory just yet, asking about the secret that her enemy discovered. Shigusa explains his theory, concluding that she's the opposite of him, having no reflexes at all and being able to manually control all of her actions. Kikaijima thinks that this would fit with Medaka's previous actions, and Akune asks Zenkichi if he's right, who says that Shigusa is mostly right. However, Medaka dispels the excitement of his discovery, saying that she'd never meant for that to be a secret. Zenkichi thinks to himself that, while it's true that none of her abilities are secrets, it spells bad news that she's being troubled this much by her first opponent, thinking that it's as if she'd come there specifically to be experimented on for the Flask Plan.
Shigusa laughs, saying that it's now clear who the superior one is, since having great reflexes is invariably better than not having any. Medaka replies that, since she's already gotten her hands on the data, there's no reason for her to fight anymore, but then Shigusa reveals that the drive she had was a fake, showing a much bigger one containing the real data. Akune is concerned, saying that she's forced to once again face her opposite, as in the fight with Myouri Unzen, which prompts Zenkichi to think that everybody in the Thirteen Party is like an opposite to Medaka, or more like a missing part of herself. Resigned, she declares that she'll continue his experiment a little longer and show Shigusa that his reflexes are just speed with no skill. As she does this, she takes her shoes and socks off, which makes Zenkichi realize what she plans to do, and he panics as he ushers his friends and the twins away from Medaka, trying to avoid getting them in the range of her next attack. Shigusa wonders what she'll do, then dismisses it as her just planning to make more clones. However, Medaka declares that she won't multiply anymore, but disappear, as she begins to jump. Shigusa gradually notices that the sound of her feet hitting the ground is slowly becoming displaced from the actual moment of touching the ground, until Medaka suddenly bursts forward in an explosive attack, hitting her enemy in the chest with her Kurokami Phantom. As he's sent flying into the wall, Shigusa cannot comprehend what just happened, his senses not having picked up anything, and he asks Medaka if she can move faster than light, but she naturally denies it, explaining that she merely changed his timing and then waited for him to blink before attacking. She then says that she accidentally destroyed the data when trying to steal it, and declares that she's won the fight, before collapsing to the ground, explaining that her muscles sustained injuries from the driving force put into them. The Tsushima twins conclude that sometimes not having can be better than having, as Medaka's lack of reflexes meant that she could also suppress her pain, becoming capable of doing some crazy things with her body, while her friends rush over to her collapsed form, Zenkichi thinking that her self-destructing fighting style still hasn't changed from middle school. Then, to everyone's surprise, the battered Shigusa rises up and asks if Medaka died, saying that he'll dissect her as payment for the destroyed data.
