The 26th Box: My Sister, My Sister, My Sister! (第(だい)２６箱(はこ)　妹(いもうと)・妹(いもうと)・妹(いもうと)だ！, Dai 26 Hako: Imōto, Imōto, Imōto da!) is the fifth chapter of the Thirteen Party arc and the overall twenty-sixth chapter of the Medaka Box manga series, written by Nisio Isin and illustrated by Akira Akatsuki. It was collected in the fourth volume.

Summary

Medaka and Zenkichi arrive at the Ghost Babel in order to see Maguro Kurokami. As they step in, he greets Medaka, noting how long it's been since she's visited him. As Medaka sits there cringing at her brother's overwhelming affection (and room covered wall-to-wall in merchandise dedicated to her), Zenkichi tells her that she needs to smile and make her request. She attempts to do so, but when Maguro hugs her, she immediately goes into War God Mode, punching Maguro and sending him flying, before Zenkichi helps her compose herself, and she awkwardly says that she has a request for him. As he gets up, Maguro notes how Medaka's gotten weaker, giving a detailed analysis of her physical condition, once again impressing Zenkichi, who recalls his background as a genius analyst who helped grow the Kurokami Group into a worldwide organization. Maguro doesn't forget to also compliment Zenkichi on his training, though the boy can't take the compliment seriously because of how harsh Maguro had previously been on him.

Medaka asks him to help train her and make her stronger. Maguro argues that she's already strong enough, but Medaka says that she wants to protect not just herself and her friends, but also her enemies and other people, and for that, she needs more power. Maguro expresses resignation at his sister's dedication, wishing that it was directed towards him, but then adds that she must have another reason for coming to him, to which Medaka asks Maguro to tell her everything he knows about the Flask Plan. He plays dumb, asking what that is, but Medaka sees through him, reasoning that he must have been a part of the project while he was still in school. In response, Maguro begins to monologue about RPGs, explaining that he loves to raise each character to their highest level, and likening that to his actions as a consultant, then explaining that, for that reason, the Flask Plan was the ultimate game for him. He says that he did used to be a member of the project, but he wasn't good enough, so he was kicked out. At the same time, Maguro takes his shirt off and reveals multiple sutures on his body, listing off all the inner organs he had to give in order to escape the plan, shocking both Medaka and Zenkichi. He explains that, while sacrificing that in order to escape the hell on Earth that he'd seen was a small price, he had to quit school as well as his consulting business because of it. He then tells Medaka that he won't reveal details about the Flask Plan because he doesn't want her to experience the same things he did, declaring that "the three pillars for his mentality are his sister, his sister and his sister," and that he does everything for his little sister. Therefore, he refuses to tell her anything about the Flask Plan, but he'll help her otherwise, challenging her to a harsh training course, which Medaka boldly accepts.

Looking at the two, Zenkichi thinks that they do get along well, despite all the fighting, and that he can't find a good time to interject and ask that Maguro also train him too. Zenkichi reminds Medaka that her meeting with Oudo Miyakonojou is tomorrow, asking her how she'll train to her max potential in one night. Maguro, in response, asks Zenkichi why he's acting like he's not involved, since he'll be training as well. Zenkichi is baffled, but Maguro adds that, as he'd said earlier, he can tell how hard the boy trained, giving him a warm smile and apologizing for his past words, asking him to train so that he can continue protecting his sister. In response, Zenkichi has to hold back his tears, turning around and acting unconcerned, saying that he has no choice, while Medaka and Maguro look on amusedly at him. As they all dress up in training gear, Maguro asks which training course they'll choose, explaining that course A involves hellish training that could drive a demon to tears and that might not even bear any results, while course B will involve them sleeping and waking up as the greatest. In response, both of them declare that they'll go with course A, without any hesitation.
