Kouta Ishimaru (石丸(いしまる) 小唄(こうた), Ishimaru Kouta) is a supporting character in the Zaregoto Series. She is one of the greatest thiefs in the world and the one who broke into the Shadou Research Institute under the alias Itoshiki Zerozaki (零崎(ぜろざき) 愛識(いとしき), Zerozaki Itoshiki). In actuality, it was Jun Aikawa who was disguised as Kouta that had broken into the institute.

Appearance

Kouta is a woman who is considered tall by those around her and has a slim yet layered build. She sports razzmic (berry) braided hair, similarly shaped to hearts befitting her alias, sharp blue eyes, and a barley complexion.

She wears a yellow newsboy cap, a purple denim trenchcoat, form-fitting beige pants, as well as orange and black knee-high boots.

When Aikawa disguises herself as Kouta, she wears the same exact clothes except for the fact that she adds circular tinted glasses to make the outfit more convincing. She also has a larger chest than the original Kouta, though this goes unnoticed.

Trivia

• Kouta's first name means "little song".
  • It's also a pun on the second Psycho Logical novel's title, Sour Little Song (曳(ひ)かれ者(もの)の小唄(こうた), Hikaremono no Kouta), which she appears on.
• Her last name, Ishimaru, is written with the characters for "stone" and "round".
• Her alias' first name, Itoshiki, means "knowing love".
  • The name is an obvious pun on Hitoshiki Zerozaki of the Zerozaki Clan.
  • One of the security guards mistakenly read the name as Aishiki Reisaki.
