Kogushi Kushinaka(串中(くしなか) 小串(こぐし), Kushinaka Kogushi), also known as the Airhead Ruler (天然(てんねん)の支配者(しはいしゃ), Tennen no Shihaisha), is a character from the Sekai Series. She is a third year student at Kazusaen Private Academy, the president of the Ufology Club and the older sister of Choushi Kushinaka.

Personality

Kogushi's most defining trait is her airheadedness, commonly being shown to forget things even when people go out of their way to remind her, and generally not being very observant or attentive to things that don't interest her. Nonetheless, she is charismatic enough to draw people, especially eccentric ones, to her. Because of her tight-knit friendship with Rouya Gakemura and Kurori Douno, she is ostracized by the rest of the student population, being regarded as one of the Three Great Weirdos of the school. However, she never appears to pay any mind or be discouraged by that fact. She always appears to be extremely cheerful and energetic, and she doesn't mind drawing attention to herself in public with her loud mannerisms and personality.

She appears to have a fairly good relationship with her younger brother, often giving him advice and trying her best to guide him, despite her own faults. Even so, she can be arrogant and sometimes selfish and immature, and Choushi has stated that they sometimes have sibling fights. Kogushi is a big reader, unlike her brother, and she has a tendency to regularly adopt various speech gimmicks taken from novels, such as using sound prolongation like characters in light novels, using jargon from Sci-FI novels or changing the order of the words in her sentence following an encryption method, among others.

Appearance

Kogushi is a teenage girl with short and slightly curly dark gray hair and big, round eyes. She bears a resemblance to her younger brother, being only slightly taller than him. She is exclusively shown wearing the Kazusaen Academy uniform, consisting of a beige sailor uniform with brown cuffs, a brown collar with a black outline, a black ribbon and a brown skirt, also having a black line traversing it.

Background

Not much is known of Kogushi's background, aside from the fact that she was born two years prior to her younger brother, Choushi, and that she became the president of the Ufology Club after enrolling in Kazusaen Academy, earning the friendship of Rouya Gakemura and Kurori Douno and becoming known as one of the Three Great Weirdos. During her third year of middle school, she was found dead, thrown off the school's clock tower.
