Katanagatari Chapter Nine: King Sword, Saw (刀語(かたながたり) 第九話(だいきゅうわ) 王刀(おうとう)・鋸(のこぎり), Katanagatari Dai Kyū-wa Ōtō Nokogiri) is the ninth novel of the Katanagatari Series, written by Nisio Isin and illustrated by Take. It was released on September 4, 2007[1] in Japanese and on November 26, 2019[2] as a part of the third English Omnibus.

Synopsis[]

Swordless “swordsman” Shichika and self-described “schemer” Togame are on a quest to obtain twelve peculiar masterpiece blades. Pitting the former against his sister, who has acquired one of the legendary weapons, and the latter against a rival at court, Princess Negative, this hardcover edition, featuring a gatefold color insert, beautiful interior art, and copious bilingual footnotes, is the third of a quartet collecting a best-selling series from the former homeland of samurais and ninjas.[2]
