"The War Criminal of Capricorn―Killing unhealthily, Go To Heaven."

Go To Heaven

Go To Heaven (ゴー・トゥ・ヘヴン, Gō Tu Hevun), real name Valkyrie Gotou (梧桐(ごとう) ヴァルキリー, Gotō Varukirī), is an antagonist of Zodiac War. She is the War Criminal of Capricorn (『山羊(やぎ)』の戦犯(せんぱん), "Yagi" no Senpan), part of the war criminals of the twelve western zodiac signs[1].

Personality[]

Go To Heaven appears to be a calm and subdued woman, not speaking much and most often adding minor comments to the situation while her partner, Doctor Finish, does the talking[2]. She has an innate fear of touching the ground as a result of her mother's death, which is why she uses a wheelchair despite being able to walk[3]. Even so, she appears to be fairly passionate about landmines, such that she was disappointed that nobody ended up stepping in any over the course of the battle, and suggesting that she and Doctor Finish kill themselves using them[4]. Go To Heaven appears to be fairly misanthropic, saying that it'd be better if humans didn't exist[3]. She also engages in self-deprecation alongside Doctor Finish, agreeing that they'd have probably ended up criminals even without war. Nonetheless, like all the other war criminals, she hates war, and was willing to sacrifice her own life for the sake of eradicating it, regardless of the war's outcome[4]. She has a habit of using the phrase ""It'd be better without [...]"[2].

Relationships[]

Doctor Finish[]

Go To Heaven and Doctor Finish know each other from when they were both "pupils" of Dotsuku[1], and seem to share somewhat of a friendship as well as a partnership, often acting together in battle. While they appear to be doctor and patient, Go To Heaven appears to serve more of a supporting role, backing up Doctor Finish while she uses her communication skills to distract her opponents, as well as offering to serve as a decoy if needed[5]. Go To Heaven appears more comfortable around Doctor Finish, being noticeably more talkative when the two are alone together[4].

Dotsuku[]

 Dotsuku

Dotsuku

Dotsuku was the one who trained and trafficked both Go To Heaven and Doctor Finish as warriors, most likely being a direct cause of many of the hardships in their lives[1]. While the man himself is conflicted when facing them, neither of the two ever appear to remember him, and ultimately kill him without realizing it[5]. Even so, they were scouted for the crime plan by Sir Cancer precisely because of their past relationship with him[4].

Appearance[]

Go To Heaven is a thin, pale and sickly looking young woman with long straight black hair tied in two uneven braids, as well as light-colored eyes with bags under them. She is shown wearing a white long-sleeved patient's gown, and is most often paired with her wheelchair.

Background[]

While Go To Heaven was still in the womb, close to being birthed, her mother, a civilian, stepped on an anti-personnel landmine and exploded. The infant was also dismembered, but using immoral and illegal medical technology, she was put back together. She suspects that many of her mother's parts were mistakenly spliced on her. While there were fortunately no lasting after-effects to the operation, a fear of stepping on the ground was engraved into Go To Heaven's subconscious mind, so serious that, even after growing up, she has to spend most of her time riding a wheelchair[3]. Her mother died and she didn't have a father, so Go To Heaven eventually ended up being picked up by Dotsuku, at around the same time as Doctor Finish, and received training from him[1]. After that, she was bought, sold and kidnapped from country to country. Eventually, she was taken in by a mad scientist, and made it her goal to remove every landmine in the world, by creating a super powerful landmine using knowledge gained from the internet and blowing them all up, alongside all the humans[3].

Abilities & Equipment[]

  • Landmines (地雷(じらい), Jirai): Go To Heaven's main weapons are landmines, which she has both an appreciation for and a fear of, not walking directly on the ground in fear of stepping on one. She gained her skills after being sold to a mad scientist, combined with knowledge she picked up from the internet[3]. Despite setting up various landmines all around the island, nobody ever actually ended up stepping on any of them during the battle[6].
  • Wheelchair (車椅子(くるまいす), Kurumaisu): A wheelchair which Go To Heaven uses all the time due to her innate fear of touching the ground, despite being perfectly capable of walking[3]. The chair itself has a strange design, being fitted with goat horns as well as bones on the armrests and other parts of the device. It also has an IV drip connecting Go To Heaven to the chair.
