Summary


Eerie and Artless Enclosed World (不気味(ぶきみ)で素朴(そぼく)な囲(かこ)われた世界(せかい), Bukimi de Soboku na Kakowareta Sekai) is the second novel of the Sekai Series, written by Nisio Isin and illustrated by TAGRO. It was first released on October 10, 2007[1], with a special edition released on October 11, 2007[2].

Synopsis[]

I don't want a boring daily life. What I want is abnormality. Once again, Nisio Isin unleashes a me and you honkaku mystery!


During the second semester, in the music room of Kazusaen Academy, whose clock tower still hasn't been repaired. The relationship between Meiro Byouinzaka and Choushi Kushinaka begins there. The school's three great weirdos, Kogushi Kushinaka, Kurori Douno and Rouya Gakemura, maintain a distorted balance. And then a murder occurs. The search for the culprit begins, with Meiro and Choushi playing detectives, and the collapsed balance is further shattered...... This is a honkaku mystery for me and you, in this enclosed world.[1]

Anyhow, when I read such novels, they often make me wonder about the inhumanity of the great detectives appearing in them. When a murder happens, those great detectives start their deduction work and identify the culprit. That's the basic formula for a mystery novel. But I wonder, is the situation where a human just died really appropriate for nonchalantly reasoning things out?[2]
