"The War Criminal of Libra―Taking the middle and killing, Baron Sue."
- — Baron Sue
Baron Sue (バロン・スー, Baron Sū), real name Aeron Smith (アーロン・スミス, Āron Sumisu), is an antagonist of Zodiac War. She is the War Criminal of Libra (『
Personality[]
Baron Sue appears to be magnanimous to the point of absurdity, willing to forgive absolutely any crime or transgression. Even after her official dismissal, she still continues to consider herself an arbiter, calling herself "justice"[2]. Like all the other war criminals, she hates war, so much so that she is willing to give her own life to eradicate it, regardless of the battle's outcome[3]. Despite being female, she both dresses and speaks in a masculine fashion[2].
Relationships[]
Tatsumi Brothers[]
The Tatsumi brothers are two of the twelve warriors, whom Baron Sue served as a judge for during their trial. She appears to have developed a past friendship with them after aquitting them, going out of her way to warn the two about the following Zodiac War and even offering to let them join her side, though the other war criminals don't allow this. According to Double Mind, her feelings of friendship towards the two brothers are genuine[1].
Appearance[]
Baron Sue is a beautiful tall and slim woman with thin slanted eyes and short, straight light brown hair parted to the right, covering her right eye. She is shown wearing an outfit reminiscent of an old French military uniform, consisting of a dark blue waistcoat over a white shirt with a white cravat tied around the collar, a red cloth tied around the waist, white trousers and long black boots. Additionally, she has a red sash with a golden ornate pattern draped over her body, and wears a long red mantle with golden epaulettes over her garments. The inside of the mantle is blue and features a golden star pattern.
Background[]
Baron Sue was a judge who mainly presided over cases involving war criminals. However, she built a reputation for always giving an innocent verdict, no matter the case. She was notorious for accepting all manner of backroom deals in order to reconcile plaintiffs and defendants, and taking any means necessary to forgive crime, even assassination. One of the defendants that she acquitted were the Tatsumi brothers, in a trial that went down in history as a terrible precedent. Eventually, her string of irresponsible acquittals was cut short, and in her fifth year of serving as chief justice of the Supreme Court, she herself was sued, and nobody was willing to defend her, as even the many defendants she'd set free found her stance of total forgiveness to be wrong. As a result, she was charged with contempt of court and stripped of her post. For unknown reasons, she always dresses in masculine clothing despite being female[2]..

A giant variant of a weight used for scales, which Baron Sue carries around as both a weapon and a symbol of the scale, representing her pride in being a "judge" and "forgiver". Even so, she reportedly thinks it was a mistake to choose this as a weapon because of its immense weight. It was said to be capable of completely crushing Sharyuu's head if it managed to hit her.
